Our Class Reunion
Being the Class President with my best friend Eloisa as the Vice President, it was fun organizing a Class Reunion!! There were lots of challenges along the way but I'm grateful for the overflowing support from our classmates especially to our Hyperkadaz family. At first, we really didn't have a very specific answer to why we need to see each other again as a class. There were some who were negative about this since most of our classmates have their own busy lives now. But I'm extremely thankful that we still pushed this through because truly reunions are a great way to rekindle the joy of teenage years and to reconnect with old good friends.
After we created a class group chat (since we already have a page), we organized committees and appointed committee heads. We had the following:
1. Finance headed by Aaron de Leon who was in-charged of looking for sponsors and received all contributions on time. He provided liquidation reports.
2. Food and Beverages headed by Eloisa Montesur
3. Venue including chairs, tables, and equipment headed by Rachel Vivas
4. Program officiated by Philip Marino
(Emcees: Alfread, Jeff Bandong and Chris Aaron)
5. Registration was facilitated by Princess Marino
6. Transportation for the Teachers was provided by Genny Rose Marcelino
7. Reunion Shirts headed by Grace Rico and Donna Miguel
8. Prices, Raffles and Tokens prepared by Eloisa Montesur
9. Official Photographer assigned was Philip Marino
10. Tarpaulin sponsored by Nyla Burgos
11. Cakes from Alfred Calanasan and Jessica Tandang
12. Other Drinks were from the rest of the classmates.
It looks easy but the execution was challenging. We had to control our emotions especially when someone wasn't able to fulfill their commitments or gave unnecessary discouraging comments. Some looked snobbish. Some were uninterested. Some declined the invitation.
We needed to constantly remind each other that this reunion is going to be worth.

It was a blast! It was so much fun to see each other. I didn't expect it would be so emotionally nourishing to be with my classmates again!!! It was great to see changes and to look back together. Our teachers added sparkles to the night. Their messages were so funny. They're the coolest!
Here are the raffle items, prices, and our reunion cake.
Overall, our reunion strengthened our bond. We became more friendly to each other. Although we grew apart after graduation, friendships can last longer if we choose to nurture it. Friends are important. They make us richer because they beautify and color our lives. Never limit your circles. Embrace opportunities for making new friends. Reunions also remind us of our dreams. It's a good time to reflect on how far we are in achieving them. It's never late to start fulfilling them.
We should never compare our success against others but instead appreciate each other more. We are to help bring out the best in them. I love my classmates and teachers so much. I am so thankful for the fresh memories we created once again in this reunion.
And as I used to say in High School, I'll close this entry with my undying motto,
Time is always GOLD. Let's spend each minute with love.
